Before any mining operations can commence, the Company needs to submit a Planning Application together with an Environmental Impact Statement to the relevant local authority.

This allows us to set out our proposals in detail and gives local communities and other stakeholders the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and views.

The consultation process with local communities and other interested parties commences well before the submission of a planning application since this gives us the opportunity to identify potential impacts, undertake the necessary studies, and build in appropriate mitigation measures to avoid significant adverse effects.

As part of the application, we are required to submit a site restoration plan to show how we will restore the land once active mining operations are completed.
